Family Friend

Topshop top (similar here) | Levi's denim jacket | Nordstrom shoes | Guess bag (similar here)

You can never go wrong with a turtle-neck top and some jeans - it's a combination that will always always work! Instead of having a monochromatic palette like I tend to do, I decided to wear my tan handbag again, and I really wish I had some coloured boots I could've worn to add that extra oomph (definitely on my wishlist). But if you really like just black and white outfits, any black bag, or even a backpack, would suffice nicely! I love this top so much, the material is lovely, and of course, the turtle neck is my favourite part!

I'm currently suffering from some weird, random ulcers that have just decided to appear in my mouth. I've never ever had this problem before, but now I've suddenly got around ten very painful ulcers, and it's making hard to even drink water! Anyway, sorry for the overexposure of information haha, but go ahead and drop a comment, I love hearing everyone's thoughts! Thank you for reading :)

Full Circle

Tokito City top (similar here) | Redoute jacket (similar here) | Factorie shorts (similar here) | T.U.K. shoes | Sportsgirl backpack (similar here)

I'm wearing my trusty denim shorts so much at the moment, as I'm trying to make the most of this warm weather while it lasts before it gets too cold to wear them with bare legs (which I prefer to tights). I finally got around to purchasing a classic white blouse, and I couldn't be happier with this one from Tokito City! I can already tell I'll be wearing it non-stop this coming winter, though I'm definitely feeling like going shopping again, but this time for blouses with unique prints (I want to extend my selection). This is such a simple outfit, consisting of some of my most worn pieces. You've seen this leather jacket a gazillion times on this blog, as well as these shorts - I can't help it! I just always seem to find my way back to them! The shorts are a really nice fit - they're loose, but tight enough to hold at the waist.

For something a little different, I thought I might start introducing what kind of music I listen to, if you guys are interested. I'll start today with something pretty mainstream, but if you guys haven't given Vampire Weekend a go, you're missing out. I love them because I feel like they're super spontaneous and dynamic. I'm currently doing a bit of a throwback and listening to one of their older albums "Vampire Weekend" (2008). Do yourself a favour and check them out, if you haven't already!

Broken Jaw

Jay Jays boyfriend jeans | Witchery top (similar here) | Guess handbag (similar here)

Here's a chic, yet still simple and casual look you can wear to basically anything! I didn't really have anything special going on today, just having a couple of friends over in the evening, but this outfit was still perfect. I bought this off-shoulder top when I was up in Noosa in January, and I love it. It's a sturdy, thick material, and the structure is exactly what I like (I'm not usually into anything flowy). I tucked it into my boyfriend jeans, and added my black sunhat as, once again, I'm still making the most of the summer sun while it lasts (though you'll definitely see me bringing it out during the winter months as well). I'm not sure if I've ever worn this handbag on this blog, but I bought it a few years ago when I was over in the States for my first time. I don't get around to wearing it much, as I basically always reach for one of my black options. But, every now and then I like mixing things up, and this bag is perfect for those days. It's just the right size for me, and I like the colour combination of the soft beige with the camel leather straps and detailing. Hope you all have a fantastic Easter!

Needles & Pins

Forever New dress (similar here) | Redoute jacket (similar here) | Nordstrom shoes

This is what I usually do when I decide to wear a pretty dress - I chuck my hair up into a messy pony, and add a leather jacket. It always works, particularly since I'm wanting to make the look more casual and add some edge most of the time. I've worn this jacket in a couple of my older posts, because it's one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe - it's the perfect biker cut. Because we're currently transitioning into autumn down here, I'm making the most of this warm weather while it lasts and wearing all my summer pieces for as long as I can. So I'm basically wearing a lot of dresses and skirts, and matching them with my favourite autumn pieces, like this leather jacket.

Get Closer

Topshop top (similar here) | Esprit coat (similar here) | Bardot skirt (similar here) | Nordstrom shoes (other shoes here)

Here's a retro outfit inspired by the 70s, a period I find soooo much fun recreating and playing around with. This coat is actually my mum's, which she never ever wears, so I take the opportunity every so often to put it to good use, like today! It's getting pretty chilly down here, so I need to carry that extra layer around with me, and this coat is perfect. It's so fitting, which is a nice contrast to the other coats in my wardrobe, which are all a little looser and slightly baggy.
